Do i need 2 idenical HD for Raid ?

Hey Guys,
I have a Seagate drives, a 120 and 160 GB and i want to know if i have to use to identical drives for raid.

Thanks in advance.

I think it'll work, but you'll waste 40GB of space on the larger drive. If it won't work, the RAID setup utility will tell you right away.

I'm assuming your asking about RAID 0?

Should work, but like dwcal posted, you'll be wasting 40GB of Hdd space.

If you are indeed asking about RAID 0, can i ask why you want to stripe your drives?

Only if you're moving massive amounts of data back and forth. The one thing I found raid 0 to be great for was, lan parties. When you have lots of stuff that everyone wants to leech from you, It won't bog your computer down as much when you're playing games.
