Do I have to use IE for aV software to work?

I normally use Opera and am thinking about picking up that free Kapersky (see HD forums) but want to know if that means I have to switch back to IE.

The normal retail copy of KAV and KIS includes just 1 license for 1 computer.

Certain features of some internet security packages only work with IE, but Kaspersky will protect you against malware no matter what browser you use as long as realtime protection is enabled.
