do i HAVE to install the AMD miniport drivers for the 8k7a?

do they improve performance or something? the reason i ask is because i get a file missing when i try to install it. it says i'm missing a file called "sucatreg.exe" if anyone knows where i can get it, feel free to post.

i would say you have to install them. as for the file, i don't have it, nor did i have that error message when i installed the miniport drivers. what os are you using and is this a clean install?

i'm using windows 98 and i just installed it. anyone have this file or know where to get it?

I too got this virus thru an email. I went to the McAfee sight and went to the Help Center. Scanned my computer and found
21 files infected. McAfee had a clean up option, and I used it - Keeping my fingers crossed that it did clean it up!

i used norton to scan for viruses, and my system was clean. so what do i do about the miniport drivers if that file is missing?

I got the same error when I tried to use the file from the CD. Just download it from www.amd.com and you'll be OK. That's what I did.
