I got my amd x2 4400+ from Mwave this afternoon and everything went well. Windows xp recognized it with no problem and automatically update the uniprocessor system to multiprocessor. But since I found there is a driver on Amd's website for dual core. I wonder what is that for and if I need to install it?

That's just for enabling cool'n'quiet. I'd stay away from it until researching how to use it and overclock the same time on whatever board you have. It's possible to use both on DFI NF4 boards only by using the percentage voltage adjustment. It won't work with a manually set vcore.

Generally it's highly recommended to avoid it while overclocking, but I like getting it working for 24/7 use.

EDIT: I'm not using that driver now but will go ahead and install it. My overclock works well at +110% vcore.
