It's hard to see. It's a crap camera I had laying around (my main one my bro has). I just need to know if I need to worry about anything other than the die itself. I've cleaned that pretty well but around it, as you might be able to tell, is still a bit dirty.

I'm just rebuilding someone else's pc after psu melted. Reusing the cpu and heatsink.

That shouldn't hurt anything, but to be sure you can dip some q-tips in rubbing alcohol or acetone and clean it up a bit better.

My 2200+ Looked somewhat similar to that, with the slight residue to the sides of the die. I can't say I recall it adversly affecting anything whatsoever. Can't help to get some q-tips and rubbing alcohol and giving it a gentle clean.

To be honest, if you're feeling lazy, it should be just fine like that. Depends how much of a perfectionist you are :p

Looks fine, but being the anal person i am about stuff like this i'd say why not spend the extra five minutes and clean it all up ... ;)
