Do I have to buy the RAM listed on the mobo website?

All,

Most of the responses for my previous question about DDR400 ram told me to buy memory from good companies.

Am thinking of buying the following:

Kingston HYPER X 1GB PC3200 400MHz 2x512MB HyperX DDR Memory Kit - 184Pin - Lifetime Warranty
Model #KHX3200AK2/1GR CAS 2-3-2-6-1

Although, on the Chaintech website, if I look at the list of compatible memory sticks, this model is not listed. Am I required to buy a memory that is listed on their website? ie. is that list comprehensive?

Here is the link to the Chaintech VNF4 memory listing:

Thanks.

it will work just fine, Chaintech can't possibly test every possible available memory module with every single mobo, that's just not realistic

my Corsair VS is not listed either and works great, dittoes with the ADATA DDR600, also not listed

btw, you may be better off buying a single 1GB stick if you plan to add more RAM in the near future

damn that's expensive RAM, btw

Just bought a Corsair 4x512MB DDR400 PC3200 RAM from Fry's. Paid 160 + tax after rebate -- hopefully it is a good deal, and tonight I dont see a better deal on newegg or tigerdirct. 🙂
