Do I have enough power?

See this thread if you are interested it has more background of what I was trying to accomplish.

To sum up, I have used an old P3 533 as a file server housing 2 of my hard drives a 200 gig and 120 gig. Originally the system was wired with only one hard drive and 2 optical drives, because the HDDs I installed are IDE I had to unplug one of the optical drives so now the system is configured as follows: 3 hard drives and 1 optical drive.

The problem is that I don't know what the rating on the power supply is. I have already cut my hands up enough moving everything around so I am not going to check at the moment, and I have a bad feeling I might have to remove the power supply to find out the wattage. I will do this tomorrow and update this post.

For now I would like to know if anyone thinks that this setup might be too stressful for the PSU since it's an old system, and if there are any utilities that I can use to monitor the rails and ensure that enough power is being supplied. It is a Dell Dimension B533r.

My only real concern is doing any damage to the hard drives since they have a lot of important data on them, but still I don't want to really risk doing any damage to the system at all. Realistically I don't see the new setup as being too taxing necessarily, I just want to be safe and a lot of people on these forums know far more than me about PSUs.

Thanks in advance.

HDD's average about 10W when reading or writing and about 8W when idle. I doubt this is a big additional load to the old PSU. You should be OK.
