I would like to know if adding another video card to run crossfire to my computer and if my power supply would handle it?

My PS is a Corsair 850 watt - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139011

The video card is a XFX Radeon 5850 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150454

My current setup is as follows:

Intel core i7 975 extreme edition at 3.33 ghz
Asus P6T Deluxe V2 mobo
12 gb Corsair memory DDR3-1600
Single XFX Radeon 5850 vid card
Auzentech X-Fi Forte sound card
5 case fans (2 are 230mm, 1 is 200mm, and 2 are 120mm)
1 OCZ SSD - 120gb
2 Samsung F3 mechanical HD's (1 tb each in RAID 1)
Plextor DVD burner

Thanks!!!!

I should hope your power supply would work without problems. It has 70A available on the +12V rail......cannot imagine your system ever drawing anywhere near that even overclocking everything.

Anandtech's testing of an i7 920 OC'd to 3.33GHz with a pair of 5850's in CF drew 550W, well below what your power supply can provide. Even with your extra fans and hard drives (they had just one SSD in the test system), I cannot fathom you drawing another 300W total.

Just plug 'er in and enjoy! Helluva power supply you've got, btw.
