Do I have an unlocked Athlon XP?

I recently upgraded from an MSI K7T266Pro2-RU board to a Gigabyte 7N400 Pro. What a difference! 🙂

I have an XP 1800+ (DLT3C/JIUHB Tbred) that has been sitting around for months since I purchased it @ a computer show; I was never able to use it as the MSI wouldn't boot it (guess it doesn't support TBred chips).

Long story short...with the Gigabyte I can apparently select multipliers anywhere from 5x->22x. I'm now running at 2400+ (133x15). Do I have an unlocked CPU or is this an ability of the board? Either way, it's all good...

You have a great unlocked chip. The DLT3C are known to easily hit 2.0ghz and get to 2.2ghz with some encouragement. Any higher is real tough tho. You should notice that the default voltage is 1.5V rather than 1.65V. This enables it to run cooler at stock speeds. I was able to hit 1.9ghz at 1.55V with my DLT3C.
