do i have a virus?

hey. my comptuer is new and up-to-date with the latest updates. i dont have any viruses as i have done scans etc and im very careful about what i download

anyways, occasioanlly, i get a message from mccafee virusscan saying that some files have viruses in them, it gives me the ip that they came from, and then gives me the status that these files have been cleaned/deleted

does this mean that i have a virus or what??
