Before we even start, let me make this clear: I'm going to see a doctor.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way, here we go:

I work as a document processor, which means I'm typing all the ****** time. I'm a big nerd, so I come home and type an assload more. On Wednesday afternoon, I got a pain in my right pinky that seems to start at the knuckle and go all the way up to my wrist, if not further; the pain isn't really specific, so I can't tell that accurately.

So... is this one of those repetitive stress injuries that all the cool kids have? As always, any and all info is groovy and results in positive karma.

What, the fact that I say I'm going to a doctor all of a sudden means none of the ATOT MDs are interested in pontificating?

Fascinating...

I'd guess you've got a pinched nerve in your wrist or elbow. Does the pain get better when you take NSAIDS? You probably just need to take some ibuprofen or naproxen sodium (or aspirin) and give your hand a rest for a few days. Your doctor will tell you for sure. Make sure you have good posture and hand placement when you're typing. Wrists up.
