Do I have a right to be annoyed by this?

my roommate's girlfriend spends every weekend up here. I don't really mind. I'm not in the apartment all that much on the weekends, and she's always fairly nice and quiet, if even boarding on antisocial (if my roommate isn't home, she just stays in his bedroom, emerging only to use the bathroom, which is about 2' away from my roommate's bedroom).

by the end of every weekend, though, our shower is totally clogged up with her hair. my roommate and I both have shaved heads and it was never a problem before she started spending all her free time up here, so it's definitely not us.

when I'm taking my shower on Monday morning, the water is up to my ankles after a couple minutes.

am I wrong in expecting my roommate to fish his girlfriend's hair out of the drain? it's pretty f'ing gross, but if I don't fish it out myself, neither one of them will ever do it.

I mentioned the issue to my roommate, and he claimed to not have even noticed that the shower drain was clogged :Q

(and before a chorus of "pics," she's pretty ugly. my roommate is not attractive at all, and he definitely wasn't swinging for the fences when he asked her out).

The least she could do is give you some pleasure for clogging the drains, I mean, she is prolly wanting to she just doesnt know how to express it since you said she just stays in your roomie's room when he isnt there. Hit it anyways.

She should clean up her hair. I would think it would be common sense, but i know a large majority people out in the world lack it.

Why dont' we save her the trouble, and just shave off all of her hair. Might be better for all concernced in the long run.

On a scale of 0 - 10, what would you rate her? (Or maybe she's a man-man..)

fair enough. . . but a warm moist cavity, or your hand. . . you make the call, either way, I'll still respect you the same.

i bet it looks like this.

how long have you two been living there? did you clean the drains when you moved in? the may have been full of hair from the last tenants, and the build up is just getting worse, and my have little to with her.

either way, blame it on her and let them clean it out.

we've lived here for about a year... I'm considering just buying a bottle of draino to clean out the pipes and one of those strainer-type things to pick up the hair before it gets stuck in the drain.

either way, blame it on her and let them clean it out.

I think the key thing here is not the hair, but your roommates lack of interest in either cleaning it up himself or telling her to.

I had a roomate who's gf would never leave. NEVER. No matter how mean and antisocial I was, the bitch just wouldn't leave. She was a nice girl and everything (with hot friends) but she would never leave. Finally after 5 months I confronted them about this and she left for 3 days in a row.... 3 days of nirvana. Then she comes back.... and never leaves. She would say "but you guys are so much more cooler than my roomates". That's nice, but damn bitch, leave!

sorry I know that had nothing to do with the OPs post, but this tickled some pent up demons that I had to excorsise

GO HOME!!!

ah I feel better.

"I mentioned the issue to my roommate, and he claimed to not have even noticed that the shower drain was clogged."

I take that answer to mean that he doesn't think it's a problem.
You now have *two* room mates who don't have consideration for others....;)

It's hair in a drain. The best rinsed hair you'll ever encounter. If it's in your food, be grossed out. If it's in the shower pick it up, toss the wad into the toilet and continue showering. Animals have, and shed, hair. If you're still offended by it get your own longer haired girlfriend and make your roommate pick the drain clean more often.

at least your roomate didn't spank in the shower, prior to you discovering the hair

Why don't you mention is directly to her. Ask her politely to clean the hair out of the drain when she's done showering. If she doesn't like the idea, then you have a serious talk with your roomate on going thirds for rent... you each pay a third and she pays the final third. If she gets to call the shots and make you look like a sissy, she damn well better be paying to live there.
