Do I get a point on my license from filling out an SR-1?

About a year ago someone backed into my parked car. I was not driving nor was anyone in or around my car. Luckily I knew where the guy lived as I waswas nearby and saw the guy do it. He didn't leave a note or anything and just took off. I returned the next day to confront him and he denied it of course then changed stories about how he did get out and that there was no damage when there is white paint all over the side of my black car. I had the sheriff's department come out to settle this and they just exchanged our information and that was all no report or anything. I called this guy's insurance company and gave them all the information and he still denied any responsibility but his adjuster came out to take a look at the damage and ended up giving me a check for the damages. A month after that I received a notice from DMV stating that my license was going to be suspended for failure to file an SR-1 stating that I had been involved in an accident. The letter contained the SR-1 that I was supposed to fill out so I just did it and sent it in hoping this would all be done. A few days later I received another letter saying that I could disregard the first one because the SR-1 had been filled out.

My question is will there be any points/anything on my license for this that could potentially affect me down the road? I would be severely pissed off if I find there is something negative on my driving record because my legally parked car got backed into. I doubt there is much that could be done at this point but the thought just occured to me that it may have been 'brought up' to moving collision status when that is not the case.

The douchebag who hit your car should be forced to work a week in the DMV as punishment.
As for your question I don't know.

Well I just thought that reporting an accident to DMV was if you were driving. I figured hitting a parked car or any object would be a seperate matter.
