Do I get a Christmas present for my boss?

He's a cool guy, but I've only worked for him for a month and a half and I'm not sure if I should get him anything. Our workplace is structured such that you aren't allowed to have much of anything on your desk, so it's not like I can just get him some useless doohickey to put there. If I should give him something, give me suggestions!!

vaseline and kneepads. He will get the idea 😀😀

on a serious note, just get him a card. dont go overboard.

I'm going to say no. Don't get him anything.

After what happened at my companies christmas party last year(2005) I'm never getting a boss anything, ever again.

The bastard gave away my gift and he didn't wait till after the party. I Saw is him do it during the dinner. I hope he rots in hell.

Hell no.

Unless it's like, just you and him in the company, then maybe.

If I was an employer (god forbid) I wouldn't think much of a guy who tried to influence me with crappy christmas presents.

Bosses usually don't pay enough, so if he's already stealing from you, why give him more? 😉
I like this answer best. 😀

In the corporate world, unless your immediate manager is pretty far up the food chain, he probably has less to say about your pay than you'd like to think.
