is it that simple? I'm trying to make some recording of myself playing the piano,

i have a digital piano with rca outputs. i was thinking of putting that as the input source and using a cd recorder (not the computer kind of home stereo kind) and putting it in the tape monitor jacks and hope it records.

will that work?

Should, but I'd recommend using a computer instead so that you can easily edit the stuff without wasting a CD (or use a CDR if possible).

it sounds complicated and not worth the trouble unless there is a proggie specificially designed to do this.

ugh whatever i like to keep my stereo stuff and my computer as far away from eachother as possible. i'm sure it would but my comptuter and stereo/keyboard are in different rooms and it would be so easy if i could just hook one of those suckers up to my tape recorder.

i don't ever edit my compositions (just like i would never edit my digital pictures and shoot all jpeg) so i think i am going with a cd recorder.

if they still make them. it seems like they kind of flopped. haven't heard about them in years. was there ever a really good one?
