Do guys expect a gift from their gf on Valentine's Day?

I'm getting married this Valentine's Day, so I'm expecting a nice gift. Seriously though, I don't think guys really expect the gifts associated with Valentine's Day (jewelry, flowers, candy, etc.) I think Valentine's Day is definitely more for the females, it's a day they can be adorned with gifts or simply made to feel as though they are the most loved person in the world.

I have tried to make v-day special for my man just by getting him somwthing small that he may enjoy like a nice bottle of champaigne (sp?) but i never really got him like a piece of jewlery or anything. We usually just spend it having a nice dinner. this year, i think we are gonna do sushi!
