I don't know if they still have it, but informIT.com had a free online library. They tend to be older editions though.

http://www.informit.com/ used to have these. not sure about now. before they changed their name it was better though. i still have some books saved from it.

although if you don't care about legality i know of a good src..

a lot of books on c++, activex, visual c++, tcp/ip etc. at least those are the ones i looked for. one particular book I liked was the "iso c++ p[rogrammer's handbook" although it was only free for a shortwhile. i saved it of course ;)

sharereactor has a lot of books btw
