Do Folks Still Play MGS4 Online?

Does anyone still play MGS4 Online? I know a few expansions and what-not have come out in the (nearly) year since it was released. I'm just wondering if it would even be worth my while to try and jump online with regular MGS4. Can I even play online without the expansion stuff any more?

You shouldn't need any of the expansions to be able to play. I briefly tried to get into MGO but the controls are too awkward and it's way too much of a headshot fest. The mode where one player is Snake was interesting, but otherwise I'd just rather play something else.

Lots of people still play considering it's been a while since it was released. I know my son plays it regularly with his friends, and it's the top 3 games of his gaming rotation he plays.

I never got into the MGS series, and have yet to get past the first scene in MGS4 or try online.

The expansions and content releases keep this game fresh, so yes, you have people that regularly come back and play. From watching my son play, it seems very fun and has some depth, but it doesn't seem like a game you can jump into and learn the online play in one sitting.

I tried MGS4 Online and thought it sucked. The controls are terrible.

so did you also think the game was terrible? I would think the controls for SP and MP would be the same.

it's definitely not a run and gun type game

I played when the game first came out. Did they fix the bullet damage or do you still NEED to get headshots to get kills
