Reduce caloric intake -- not enough to throw your system into calorie conservation, starvation mode -- and increase exercise.

Stop eating unnecessary calories and become alot more active and you won't need artificial assistance from pill-form chemicals.

And not to burst your bubble, but you might as well start eating again right now, because as soon as you do start, you'll gain it all back...plus some.

lol.. dumbass.

people don't understand. when you eat such little food, your body goes into "Starvation" mode, and stores any food you eat as fat. as soon as you start eating again, you'll be fatter than you ever were before.

Build muscle (eat protein!), eat less junk, get some cardio, lose weight.

I've had 3 kids and gained 45-70 pounds each time, and each time I lost it again. I'm still working on losing the last 5-10 (my youngest is 18 months old) but you have to have patience.

A healthy lifestyle will have the happy side effect of a healthy weight/body fat percentage.

rajkanneganti, as has been said, your body has gone into starvation mode. Once you start eating solid food, your body will hold onto every last calorie that you put into it. In fact, will hold on to even more since it is trying to "catch up" so to speak.

The key to loosing weight is not reducing your calories, it is increasing your metabolism. The easiest way to increase your metabolism is to exercise.

You sound like you have a serious issue, as you have done this in the past. I seriously urge to set up an appointment with your doctor and possibly a nutritionist as well. You need to get some professional help/advice. Your condition can be life threatening.

I do know of a drug that is a fatty acid synthetase inhibitor. It works in mice by decreasing the appetite but DOES NOT decrease metabolic rate (does not go into starvation state). Mice that took the pill lost appetite but kept up with other control rats in activity level. Also, the chemical starvation response system was not activated. I did a graduate rotation with the Professor that found this drug. Unfortunately, it'll be years before it'll even make it into clinical trials. But I bet he'll be super-rich by that time.

You really should see a doctor. Doing drastic things like that never help your body. Something else to think about is that everyone has a weight that is right for them. Don't try to fight it. If you're healthy and active then you're beatiful. Don't buy into the advertising hype that demonizes big people. Not everyone can be very thin, nor should they be.

like everybody else has said, do not starve yourself. do reduce caloric intake from carbs and fats, do increase protein intake, and be more active. you do not want your body to go into energy conservation(starvation) mode. when that happens it starts breaking down muscle for energy.

do not eliminate fat from your diet either. carbs cause the body to release insulin, which in turn signals fat storage. fats cause the body to release glucagon, which makes you feel satisfied and helps in fat breakdown.

and as a reminder, if you feel dizzy or if your limbs get cold it's time to eat something.
