Do fast food restaurants accept credit/debit cards?

I want to get $1 chicken McNuggets for lunch, but I only have six cents on me. 🙁

Does McD's accept credit/debit cards at the drive-thru window?

Some do, some don't. I believe McDs does... but that could have been only that specific one. Why don't you just find an ATM machine?

Not thru the drive-thru. Sometimes/usually at the walk up counter. At least you have 6 cents. When I don't have cash, well, it means zero😛

They don't here in MS but I understand they are rolling out a plan to do so nationwide. I am unsure if they have any test markets out there. The only places I know that do are Arbys and Subway.

Most do. And here in TO they have them at the drive thru.

But I have a saying about that kinda stuff. If you cant afford to pay for it with cash.. you probably shouldnt be eating it.

I always keep spare change on me in the event of an emergency. Ya never know.

Damn near every fast food joint around here takes credit at the drive through.

If your local McDonalds does they usually charge a $0.50 debit card fee.

So your nuggets would cost $1 plus tax plus $0.50 fee.

Yes they do.

As far as I know, McDonald's and Arby's does in my area. Not sure about Burger King, Taco Bell and Wendy's.
I'm sure McDonald's do.

Hmm.

I don't want to be stuck in the drive-thru owing $1 and change... there aren't any ATM's on my way home from work, and I'm about to leave so I can grab some food (and make it home in time to watch 2 episodes of the Family Guy). 🙂

Would it really be that hard to get out of the car and order on the inside?

Jack In The Crack accepts credit cards at the drivethru at most of their locations that I've been to recently here in San Diego. Don't know about LA, though.

That cuts down on valuable Family Guy-viewing time. Plus, I'd be kinda embarrassed paying with an ATM card. Okay, time for lunch...

Why should that be embarassing? On Sunday, the day before our turkey day, was the very first day in my entire life that i saw somebody using a check at a store in Canada (i've been in the US and seen people use them). What's even more funny, is that the clerk AND the first manager had no clue how to process it. It took literally 5 mins to find somebody that knew how to do it. Oh, btw, she was an American... i guess she came up to visit during our holiday.
