DVI monitors will have less ghosting if you video card also has DVI connectors.

The ghosting comes when you go from Analog to DVI or DVI to Analog connections. (with LCD's)

Um... depends. I think you're talking about ghosting as in signal reflections/noise -- and yes, a digital connection will have less of this than an analog connection.

The OP, however, is probably using the common (and confusing) computer terminology of referring to response time lag as 'ghosting'. This is not dependent on what kind of signal you're feeding the monitor.

what i'm experiencing is image trailing, where a faded image follows the moving one - the effect is very distinct. i have a 17" analog Cornea monitor rated at 20 ms and experience no ghosting on that monitor. Does 5ms make that much of a difference?

dvi will not make a difference.

agreed....you want to look at response times for ghosting--not the connection.

Pretty much 16ms and under is perfect--you'll never see ghosting.

There is no measuring standard for how to rate monitors. Some companies rate the monitor at the peak setting (fastest) and others on an real world basis.

Makes monitor buying difficult.

Good luck.
