Do dogs have souls

My cube mate who is really catholic argues that dogs have no souls. My other cube mate and I argue that they do. I mean how can someone go to heaven and not have their favorite dog waiting for them.

I saw this video though where a dog only had back legs and walked like a human. That is definitive that they have souls for me.

This thread reminds me of an email forward I got a long time ago, about a guy that just died walking up a path towards heaven. Along the way he saw a gate to the side of the road, behind which some old farmer looking guy was playing with his (Guy #1's) dog. The farmer guy told him he could stay in that field and play with his dog forever or go up the path to heaven, but he couldn't have both. Turned out "Heaven" was really the entrance to Hell and picking your dog sent you to heaven.
 
My dog sure as hell has a soul ... he has feelings, emotions and spurs the same in us. Little ah heck makes me laugh every single day, and he knows it 🙂 Provide us with your definition of soul. In a religious sense? No. In other definitions? Yes.
