Besides doctors at hospitals, do doctors in clinics work during weekends? I need to go see a doctor for a checkup but I work 8-5 monday through friday and I don't think I can afford to take a day off from work. So do I just need to keep searching for a weekend doctor or do they not exist?

Depends on the doc, and what you need to have done. But chances are no unless its an emergency etc.

There's a chain around here called "Doctors Care". It's better than going to the emergency room, cost wise anyway.

Maybe they're in your area too.

Depends. Some do, some don't. But if there's an emergency, you can get medical care.

just went to their website. pretty neat service, would be nice if they had locations in California though.

A lot of docs. offices will have one evening a week that they are open till 7. If you go to a clinic, then they usuly have late hours most nights.

Doctors are pretty much like everyone else....

If you have enough money, they will be on call 24/7/365

How do I go about finding a weekend doctor? I see doctors in my PPO network that work for a few different locations. And all of these locations are M-F.

Checkups don't take that long to complete. You won't lose a whole day's work.

If you want a physical, it will probably require a blood draw so you have to go to the doc twice.
