I suspect you are young and inexperienced in relationships with women..
So if a woman's husband is beating her, should she be forced to stay with him until he kills her?Originally posted by: goku
So you believe it's perfectly normal and healthy for a couple to divorce? Breakups, yes, divorce, NO.

It certainly can be normal and healthy for a couple to divorce.. Because when it comes down to it, marriage is nothing more than a formalization of a long-term relationship. During the course of relationships, people change, and attitudes change, and sometimes relationships can be strained to the point where it's better off for all concerned to divorce and split apart.
If you do not believe this, then it is because you have been brainwashed to believe that marriage is this great and wonderful thing that must be preserved at all costs. If you believe that, then it is very likely that you've never been in any long-term relationships.
Hence my comment about you being very young and relatively naiive.
