Do different color M&M's taste differently?

My favorite are the dark brown M&M's but my wife says that it is just some food coloring and that they all actually taste the same? Can anyone distinguish between the different color M&M's? I would hate to see my wife being right again.

I don't think they taste any differently at all. My fiance's mother refuses to eat the brown ones because she thinks they taste different. I just don't see it.

Just do a double blind test. Get 6 identical opaque cups and fill each with 6 M&Ms. Fill 3 with one of each color (I don't remember how many colors there are), and fill 3 with one color each. Cover the cups and get your wife to label each with a letter. Wear a blindfold and eat each cup, marking if it's random or one color. This should definitively answer the question. Be sure to do a statistical significance test against the random baseline of 50% right, 50% wrong

flavorless, I think the newer bright blue ones look weird. I just ate a bunch of Peanut M&M's the other day and jokingly asked my mom if they tasted different. She called me a fucking idiot and said "you can't be serious"

Just to be absolutely 100% sure I'll go eat more and come back to confirm your question. I'll make sure and be scientific about it and eat an equal amount of them, with my eyes closed of course.

they have V Day ones where the entire bag is Green. I remember in elementary school if you gave a girl some M&M's and she got a green one she was supposed to be your GF haha. There's still some stigma attached to green M&M's. Although giving a female a green M&M has never lead to me getting some ass, so I think it's just a myth.

Maybe we should write in to Myth Busters and have them test the green M&M theory, they probably won't seeing how it wouldn't involve blowing shit up, but you never know...
