I was a math major, so I kept all of my math books. Never know when you might need to look something up someday. Also kept my two literature books because I love to read and they have great material in them.
I keep the ones I like - so far, it's just been my West Civ books, reference books from my composition classes, and the book from my ethics class (It's a collection of some very well written essays - I'm planning on using it for reference for futher stuff, whatever that is)
i kept a lot of my math books all the way through just cause each class built off the last and then afterwards only because i was going to a job where my mathematical abilities were going to be utilized...
Yes, I kept all of my higher-level economics and mathematics textbooks (up through mathematical economic theory and linear algebra) and most of my accounting textbooks (particularly intermediate financial and tax).
ask your fellow classmate, most likely only a few book is worthy to be kept. i generally sell all the books asap right after the quarter/semsters end before the depreciation kicks in. (damn those new editions)
kept my intro Java, C, and C++ books for reference. I also have two PHP books. The others I have just because I was too lazy to stand in line to resell.
most of them. I majored in English / Sociology -- most of my English books were paperbacks or anthologies that I'll reread, and my sociology text books are all increadibly interesting. also useful to have for some P&N discussions I also kept the books from cool classes like Intro to Film Studies, Modern American Music, and the biology seminar class I took where we read/discussed the collective works of Stephen Jay Gould.
there were a couple books that I sold or gave away (Spanish 1-4, and many of the books from my intro courses).
