long story short me and a couple friends went out egging and hit some guy who was driving after us. we lost him stayed at my friends house for like 30 minutes then went to drop everyone off. little did we know the guy was still driving around after us and in doing so got caught by the police because they got he was on dope. we took a completely different way home and somehow passed the car while it was pulled over and they reconized it, told the policem, and we got pulled over.

now i know i deserved this but when the cop was searching me for weapons he smacked a couple eggs all over my hand, are they legally allowed to do that?

again before anyone says anything i know i deserved it but could that be considered assault?

Yes they do. They damage the paint job on a car by the shell fragments imbedding in the clearcoat. My new truck got egged and I had to get the quarter panel repainted.
