Do colleges today require more stuff to learn?

Think about it, if you went into some science proffesion or a computer one, today we have to learn much more than say 20-30 years ago. New discoveries in science and computer, math etc.. We are required to know more stuff than ever before.Anyone else agree?
(there are most likely some exceptions)

Pretty much everything taught in a computer science curriculum was discovered or developed in the 50s and 60s.
