Do college acceptances usually come out this late?

I finished applying in January but so far I have heard from no one. My friend, who applied to a few of the same schools I did, said he called up offices and found out that notices are sent out in April. This seems to be the case with pretty much all of my colleges, save a few that come out March 30th.

Is it usually this late? I want to know now :[

I am kindof in the same boat. My applications went out between December and January 15th, and I have hears back from two out of three. Unfortunately the one I have not hears back from (Madison) is the one I want to get into the most. Argh!

Looks like I still have time to do a reenactment of Brackis' "Predict my college acceptances" thread from last year :p

I got into my graduate program

Not that I think it was a particularly competitive one, but y'know.

With graduate schools at least, they usually let you know by April.

Some schools can be into may/june before they send out acceptance letters. They can even send em up till august/sept whenever they start especially if your on a waiting list of some sort. Unless your a sought after football/baseketball/etc player your not important enough to get your acceptance early :p

Actually it seems to just depend on the school. For instance Pittsburgh accepted my within two weeks of me mailing my application. Milwaukee took 10-11 weeks. Madison is at almost three months now.

I'm still waiting. One said that they'll tell me before April 1. Another said that they would tell me on April 1. The last said that they would tell me before April 15.

Many of Pitt's schools have rolling admission.

Some schools do rolling admission where they accept applications as they get them. Some schools wait and make their decisions after they have received all of their applications.

Most colleges get back to you around April 1st or before. I'm applying right now, so I can feel your pain..

Yeah, this one did. Unfortunately I can not afford to go there. Even with the work-study type aid they offered (waives 6cr worth of tuition), I still would have to pay $15k/semester. *sigh* It sucks.
