Do Chimps know some sort of martial arts?

I read somewhere that if a chimp attacks a male, they go for the genitals and fingers. That's exactly what happened with the Moe chimp who ripped out the balls and bite off the fingers of his owner. It almost sounds like martial arts of some sort -- they know exactly where the weak spots of a guy are located and go right after them.

The latest story has a chimp attacking a woman. It seems like the tactics are different in this situation. Instead of going for the balls and fingers, it attacked the woman's face and tore it off.

It also bit off at least one of her hands.

I think the Chimp MMA rules call for them to go for the face/eyes first regardless of the victim's gender. In the other famous chimp attack a few years back, the chimps went for the guy's face first too. One of his eyes was gouged out and a big chunk of face/scalp peeled off and blocking the other eye within seconds. The fingers get gnawed off when you put your hands up to defend yourself. That poor bastard had 2 chimps working him over, once he was incapacitated, IIRC the smaller one went to town on his feet while the bigger one tore up the rest of him.

Male genital mutilation seems to be the chimp's finishing move of choice.

Evolved instincts of a sub species of Homo, they are not monkeys but they are apes and guess what, so are we.

No we're not - humans and apes have a common ancestor.

from nature documentaries its just brute savagery. they know enough to know what bits are soft and what hurts. have a gang of em pound on the victim, some ripping the nuts, biting off the fingers, end with some more pounding.

Other targets of male chimp murder are the suckling infants of females taken forcibly under control by a new male. The females quickly stop lactating, begin ovulating and are now able to bear the infants of the usurper male. This pattern is not restricted to chimpanzees and has been observed among other species. Even human stepfathers, it has been claimed, are more likely than biological fathers to abuse small children.
