I was looking at the Presario R3000T, but on intel's webpage, there is no such thing as a mobile celeron 2.8. Does this mean they are using a desktop cpu?? Isn't this bad for battery life?

easy way to tell is if it has 128k cache its a desktop if its 256k cache its a mobile. overall the p4 based chips are a bit of a battery hog compared to the Pentium Mobile line

Maybe..... What speed is the P4??? That will tell you the answer some times as well.

IBM Makes a very cheap model called the G-40 which runs both desktop CeleronP4 and P4 processors up to 3.0Ghz.

VERY BIG-VERY HEAVY.....CHEAP, but unique.
