Do casinos take personal checks?

Many casinos will cash personal checks at the cashier, many for a fee.

Bottom line is this:
You're at a casino, you bring cash.

Bank wire or certified check I'm sure, but not an unceritified one thats for sure.

I would think they do not take personal checks.
Just take cash.

Or call the casino and see what ur options are.

If you have a room at the casino, then your odds of getting a check cashed are much better. They have a maximum amount that they will cash, and they check your credit.

You open up a marker. When i go to vegas, i never take cash, i get a marker for up to 10K and use their money. Also free room and board helps =).

10-20k and you wanna write a check? Just go to a local bank when you get there. That's a LOT of cash to do a check at a casino. High rollers have accts with the casinos or some similar scenario. Joe schmoe brings no credit to the table....

There's only one way to do Vegas with that kind of money and be fully comped too. Ask for the Casino Credit Department fill out app and also talk to a Casino host. I guarantee you flight, room, meals will all be comped almost anywhere win or lose. Never bring that kind of cash to the table and get nothing for it.

Yep. Call up the Casino, tell them how much in chips you want waiting for you and they'll start comping you buffets off of naked strippers left and right.

Why not call the casino ahead of time, and see what arrangements they can make for you?

Back in 93, I took a large sum to Vegas, but did it by having a cashiers check made out to me, and the hotel casino I was staying at. I then just told them to credit my account, after endorsing the check, which they did, then I drew markers as needed against the account.

Any wins after a session at the tables, I'd just have them credit my account. When we checked out, I was up by about $12k, so I had them cut me a check.
