Do cashews make your anus itch?

Just curious.. I loved to EAT them until about 5 years ago. Now I can't touch them. I also get little itchy bumps on my fingers right near the nails and the tops of my feet will itch like there is no tomorrow.

a little hint, you are supposed to eat them, not stick them up your ass.

you have developed an allergy, go talk to your doctor.

um, no. I try to eat them though, not play with them. This makes me think you weren't joking when you chose "Damn Dirty Ape" as your username.

Are we sure this isn't a parody of this thread?

its not so bad if your ass is itching and you use one to scratch it though, right? RIGHT?

yea the Dr said it is related to the oil on the cashew after the thin husk is removed. In the same family as urushiol (poison ivy irritant I think).

Cashew shells are actually toxic. It's not that uncommon for people to have reactions to cashews. BTW, they're not even real nuts.

lol @ the thought of this whole fckin thread.

well missy , you've obviously never spent a sleepless night and had to buy new underwear over it. Rather bothersome.

Reminds me of a old proverb or something.. "he who go to bed with itchy anus, wake up with smelly finger."

/didn't really want to go there, but just special for 'ya.

so much funnay in your post.

oh I see the mods are anti-itch tonight.. guess my thread is going down too.. 🙁

Just where is a person supposed to get quality medical info these days?

Does the same thing happen with peanuts?

If they do, then you're allergic to the peanut oil added to cashews.

If not, then you have a cashew allergy.

no, just cashews. Most times if we go to costco or sams club if something looks like it even has one cashew in it I'll pass. Most people there presume when I ask, it is because of the typical 'nut allergy', but I only explained to one older lady and her response was 'oh my, that must be bad'.

I figure before long I'll just have to see a cashew. Some people say they only have to look at poison ivy to get it , it seems.

no.

I are serious ape, with serious problem, just curious as to any others on here that have this problem with them.. Dr had never seen a case of anal itch from cashews before. Slight rashes on the skin, but nothing more.
