Do/can Newegg promo codes apply to combo deals?

There's a nice promo code this week on the Lian Li PC-7FN which is also part of a few potentially nicer combo deals, for my needs at least.

When I add the combos though, the promo code ceases to apply. Is it always that way? Has anyone had any success getting them to apply to combos before? I sent them an email, maybe I'll get lucky and they'll let me use one anyway, who knows.

nope. tried it a couple weeks ago. motherboard had a promo code for $15 off. But you could also get it comboed with a proc for a total of $22 off.

code didnt work. you even get a message stating you cant use it on combo deals when you try.

Damn, yea. Got an email back from them that they can only allow the combo or the promo, not both together. Shame, could have been a nice deal
