Do Bluetooth (wireless) headphones exist?

I ask the same question 🙂
I envision mounting little speakers in waterproofed casing inside my kayak helmet and stashing an MP3 player safely in my deck!

those cell phone bluetooth headsets should work with laptops equipped with bluetooth. you can get usb bluetooth adapters for the laptop.

they dont work with mp3 players as of now.

Somewhere, someone's gotta make a device that you can plug into a headphone jack/line out jack that just transmits bluetooth signals.....right?

I haven't been able to find any since I cooked up this idea last summer, though.... 🙁

No no! I have one of those now. I said headPHONES, meaning stereo.

My laptop has BT built-in, so no need for an external dongle.

Yes, they exist.

Are they cheap? No.

Do I know places where they can be bought? No, but I could look them up tomorrow at work if needed, although you'd have more chance on finding a shop closeby if you'd use Google.

I bought a HP ZT3000. You can configure it on their site with built-in BT.

The IBMs are superior but too rich for my blood.

I got the following specs:

Pentium M 1.4Ghz
512MB DDR
40GB harddrive
Mobility Radeon 9200 32MB
15.4" WXGA screen
Built-in 802.11b WiFi & Bluetooth
WinXP Home
6.5 lbs. (the worst part of it)
1.2" thick
One extra AC adapter
Extended warranty

~$1350 shipped (AR)

When I use Google. these are the kinds of results I get.

I was wondering the same thing.

I was thinking it would be awesome to have a totally-BT portable mp3 system. BT headphones and a very small BT-enabled remote/display that would clip onto your clothing. Stash the actual HD-based player in your pocket or bag, and enjoy total control of your music without any wires!

If anyone comes out with that, I thought of it FIRST!!

well... i doubt a headphone/lineout jack will be able to power a bluetooth adapter like my usb one. just hafta wait until they make it built in... then you can walk around about 30 ft and enjoy the tunes

Actually, a brilliant friend of mine modded his Jabra BT headset and wrote some sort of app. such that he can store his mp3s on his laptop, carry that in his backpack, stream music via BT to the headset, and can adjust the playlist and stuff through his Sony Ericsson T610 phone, which he carries in his pants pocket.

He did it just for fun, but was disappointed with the sound quality of the Jabra headset, so he went back to a wired solution for now.

Yes, the transmitter and receiver would both need some sort of batteries, but I'm ok with that 🙂

i was curious about this also... i figured such a product existed, but i didnt know where to start looking.

pretty much, it would be neat to be able to listen to music on my iriver without the wires. i always envisioned something similiar to the sony wrap-around head phones, sans the wire of course, with my iriver in my pocket. so when walking around, people would only see me wearing the headphones and rocking out.
