Do beta microsoft tests count the same as final?

I have two tests left for my mcse. I'm taking adminstering exchange2k in a week or two, but for my last test I want to take 70-218, managing a win2k network. That way I can get the new MCSA certifcation, as well as the MCSE (just more stuff to put on a resume). They are offering a beta test in late november/december, but I don't know if I can just take that and have it done or what. Anyone ever taken a beta exam?
