Do Baldur's Gate II NPCs recall what you "did" to them in BGI?

I have been looking over the NPCs for BGII and I have decided which ones that I wish to take with me for a change from BG1. The problem is.... some of them in BG2 have err... been sorta killed by myself in BG1.

Will they recall what I "did" to them or will it all get reset and I can change the past via dialog?

Also, should I wait to install Throne of Baal untill I finish the OC of BG2? Or does it matter and I can go ahead and install it without it screwing with the story/game?

thanks

Baldurs Gate II is a great game. I don't think you have to worry about whatever you did in BG1 in BG2, you'll even bump into some NPC's who could have or may have been in your party in part 1 like that insane Necromancer, I forget his name but he can't join your party in BG2, but since he was an insane necromancer not really a good idea to have him in your party anyway lol.

Install the expantions, doesnt matter..

And since you didnt move your save game onto BG2, I highly doubt the game magicly remembers what you did.

So, your good to go.

They don't. You even get dialogue options like "Edwin? Didn't I kill you?" for those that did in the original.

It doesn't matter. They don't recall what you did to them in BG1, even though their dialogue is often ambiguous enough to make you think they did.

BG1/2 and PS:T: Those are how you make cRPGs. :)
