Do audio CD-Rs really make that much difference?

Or are they the same media as the data ones, with a different label?

I've got to make copies of a set of lectures on CD for a friend of mine, and I want the media to hold up for a long time. I have some data CD-Rs that work great with audio, yet I also have some cheap-o data ones that last about 2 days before going bad.

I was thinking about picking up the 30-pack Sony audio ones at Staples for $5 AR.

same stuff... I see Maxell Music CD-R's all the time for like $2 each or something out rageous. It's funny.

Nope. They have thicker labels though from what I can tell, prolly in case you leave it out in the sun too long it won't ruin the cd.

I think he was refering to the actual reflective surface, but if he wasn't, good call.
