Do ATI products do WMV9 in hardware?

Best I can tell, at least the r420s do. I say this becuase the "Step Into Liquid" trailer runs smooth on my main rig with my x800xt-pe while the video strugles when I try to run it on my 6800gt paired with the same system.

My AIW 9600 Pro system plays Step Into Liquid fine, but for some reason I doubt that it does WMV9 in hardware. Wouldn't it have been mentioned in articles and reviews? =/

I'm just stating my experiences here, I don't really pay much attention to video acceleration features as they don't really concern me. Regardless, If you have a fast enough CPU it doesn't matter if your card has video acceleration or not.
