hey guys,
i am going to upgrade my comp soon and had decided to get a nvidia card. over at ngemu.com they have ppl post compatibility reviews, and everyone i saw was using a nvidia card. plus other compatibility issues i heard about ATI, an impression that i had was that ATI cards just cant run those emulators at all. could people who play with emulators give me some insight on this? if ati cards work fine, i'll get a 8500LE over the g3 ti200 i originally intended. thanks a lot

r8500 is the champ for emulators. I tv-out to play all emulators (neogeo, cps2, all consoles).

ePSXe runs like a champ on my Radeon 8500..

only problem is, smoothvision is kinda buggered on it (makes all these weird virtical lines) so just stick with a high res.. and disable Anisotrophic filtering too.. weird stuff happens with ePSXe with this too.. these problems are probably applicable to all graphics cards.. but i don't want to shove in my old GF2MX to test it :)

thanks for replying. i've been wanting to get a 8500LE since it is actually capable of performing much better than g3 ti200 for the same price. only downside to it is the driver problem, is it better now with the new driver?

The drivers have been rock solid now for at least 4 months... the only real bad drivers were the ones that were released with the cards... you can pick these cards up from newegg now for just over $100 (109 or something) and they are VERY fast with some nice extras (for the times your not gaming )...
