earlier versions did...(using 1600Xps in Tyan Tiger) Not sure about recent versions. Go to 2cpu.com, they will have more information.

Yes, but you may need to unlock them (if the CPU's you have are locked).

IIRC 1800+'s were the cut off, some 1800's were unlocked & some were locked. Everything after, to my knowledge, has been locked.

There are ways to mod current AMD XP processors to make them appear as MP's. This involves soldering some of the bridges on the chip. My roommate successfully did this with 2400+ XP processors. I'm sure if you do a google search you'll find plenty of info on how to do this.

Are there dual boards that support Bartons and 400FSB? i.e. buy a couple 2500+, modify, and run dual 3200+?

I don't think so. The Athlon MP boards are all based on the AMD 760 MPX chipset, which only supports the 266 FSB.

You will probably be able to get more info at http://www.2cpu.com

I used some conductive ink to get my 2400+ XPs working in my Tyan Tiger MPX-4M.
