Its funny how a couple years later there in bed with Intel.

I think it's a weak sign in general when a company has to go so far to put the competition down ?

You see this in society, the empty can rattles most. Those that can do, those that can't talk about it.

The whole MAC vs PC guy was annoying and played on this wave of coolness that you inherit if you get a Mac.

A few things are certain:

I'm not a huge fan of Apple

Their ads are funny

People who blindly buy their claims in the ads are retarded (there's a seed of truth to what they say but they try to pass oversimplification and broad generalizations off as facts)

Apple doesn't care about the people who whine, bitch, moan, and complain about their ads because you probably weren't going to buy a Mac anyone, they don't seem to care if they alienate potential customers, such as the OP, with their "elitism" since they figure that makes them more "elite"

There is nothing wrong with comparing your product to your competitor's product in advertising, as long as your claims are true. Think about it - you're complaining about ads with substance as opposed to talking iguanas.

No, the problem here is that you're stuck in the late 80s/early 90s Mac vs PC "war." Except the people who actually cared about that stuff back then have moved on, and it's a new generation of angsty teens/young adults who are carrying on the fight. You see it in every thread about any Apple product.
