Do any receivers have optical audio OUT?

I just got the Tritton AX 720's for Christmas and they come with a separate amp that has a single optical audio in that allows Dolby Digital 5.1 to work, meant to be used with the PS3 basically. The problem is that when connected to a PC using normal analog audio you only get stereo, no 5.1. I already have my ps3 and PC connected to an old receiver that I've been meaning to replace. If any new receivers had an optical out I could just use that to connect to the amp and switch the devices at will but I haven't found any online...

Is there another solution? I see they do sell optical splitters but they are usually one direction only and I read something saying many devices do not shut off the optical signal even when in standby and would not work with a splitter.

Mine does, but it wont encode or anything. Its just a pass through if you have another optical cable plugged in.

What you need is a switch like the one shown above.
