Do any PC DVD burners record video in real time? Like how home dvd burners can record in real time, can any pc ones do that?

yes it can, if you are talking about recording tv shows, leadtek tv cards has a feature called "Direct Burn" which will let you burn on DVDs.

I'm thinking more towards recording my DV tapes in real time, like direct from the firewire to DVD
