No, but I was recently looking at old WWF wrestling figures on Ebay (just for kicks). The early late 80's, early 90's figures. I messed with them when I was younger.

A friend of mine does. I think it's an addiction. I want to buy a bunch of star wars figures, open them up and leave them all over his house while he sleeps. Although, I think he would have a heart attack seeing all of the open packages, so it's probably a bad idea.

Yeah, it's a big hobby for me...but I'm not one of those people who hang BOXES on their wall. They look much better out in the open. I mostly collect LOTR ones (both Toybiz and AOME), also a few of the McFarlane Toys series such as The Matrix (both series), and Alien vs. Predator.

Most recently I've been collecting the Sideshow/Weta LOTR stuff and not buying much else. Very expensive but unbelievable looking and a great investment. As soon as a limited edition statue is sold out it triples (or more) in value almost instantly on ebay.

I'll try to remember to post some pics tomorrow.

I use to collect Hercules: The Legendary Journey action figures.

Only because I'm related to Kevin Sorbo though.

Ok ok, the show was cool back during its time, too

I don't collect them for value, just to display them because they look cool. They are 10 bucks each or less! Not to mention mass produced...maybe they'll be worth something in 30 years but I'm not collecting to hold onto them for 30 years and sell them. ;)

Now the Sideshow ones...they range in price from about $50 to $300 and those don't lose value if opened mainly because there's no way to tell if the box has been tampered with and anyone who kept one in a box would be a fool. The boxes aren't see-through. ;)

Some can be worth something now. Check e-bay. I know atleast one of the Batman figures I got foor christmas was like $30 or so. Not a lot, but enough for me to keep it in its package ;)

Those like busts and stuff? Not figures, but small statues right? Those are worth something and you can open them. I'm looking at getting a few comic based ones this year.

I kinda had a collection going a few years back, but it all got stuffed into the attic to make room for shelf space.

It wasn't really a collectability thing, more of "this thing looks pretty bitchin'." or a nostalgia factor.
