Oily skin will keep you looking younger far longer. My dad is 73 and looks to be in his early 60s. I wouldn't dry it out too much.

I wash with 10% hydrogen peroxide 3-4 times a day because of that, I cant keep my oily skin, it causes acne heh

DO NOT WASH MORE!!!
IF YOU do, that will make your skin produce MORE oil since its natural oils are being sucked away.
bset thing to do is using a good cleanser (neutrogena) and a toner after washing. (btw, you should only wash 2x per day at the most)

then, once a week, use a very good clay masque. that will draw out a lot of oil as well.

so what? you don't think a "dude" should keep him self up? i think good bathing habits are important for everyone.

sorry, but if someone (guy or girl) wants to get rid of oil, like he asked, thats what will help.

Wash/bath more often.

I shower every day.

<-- Oily skin, bath twice daily ++ wash face 1-2 times daily, and I look at least 10 years younger. In the winter I sometime get dry skin because of over washing, but scrub and cream would buff that right out.

I've never used a masque, but once I started washing my face less, my acne started clearing up significantly. This was 3 or 4 years ago. I used to wash my face two or three times a day. That damaged it and made it produce more oil (just like you said). My skin was still oily, but the acne subsided.

 to you.

oil != water

cetaphil FACIAL cleaner is what i'd do for my face. cetaphil has a body wash, but i don't like it on my hands because they feel all dried out afterwards.

I don't have to worry about acne, haven't had it in years (I'm 22). I just hate the feeling of oil on my hands cuz then I go to type on my new Thinkpad or use my cell phone and I feel like I'm getting it all oily.

I also have oily skin and I just wash once in the AM and once before I goto bed. Seems to keep my skin relatively clear. I still get breakouts once in a while though. God I hate acne. (I am 23 btw)

edit: Oh and avoid touching your face! Dirt from your hands will mix with the oil on your face and cause you to break out.

acutane will dry those oily pores right up. Although you need a prescription. I took it in HS for a year and 7 years later, I still don't have oily skin.

See a dermatologist. I got put on differin, a specialized version of benzyl peroxide. She also put me on several different ointments by MD Forte, which contain Glyocolic acid. Cleaners, Masque, Eye Cream, a cream to use at night, and a lotion to using in the morning. It's also important to use moisturizer on your skin at least twice daily, preferably after you shower. Keeping your skin moist will help prevent your body from compensating by a decrease in oil after bathing by generating more oil. You also want to use sunscreen on your face. Neutrogena makes an excellent facial moisturizer that contains an spf 30, that's what my doctor recommended.

I've still have pretty oily skin, and my acne doesn't seem to be going away. I'm 21 now, and it's not bad just like one or two at a time but god it's annoying. Even the prescription stuff sucks, and it really dries your skin out.

My skin is an oil factory--I have to wash my face 3-4 times a day and I shampoo daily. Doesn't matter what I eat, what I drink. Even at the office, where the A/C is set to a cool 68, I still get oily.
