My school has light sensors in some of the classrooms. If you have a small class and the prof is lecturing they will sometimes go out.

ask your maintenance person to adjust the settings so it's more sensitive. our site is expanding like crazy with constructing new buildings, and every single space comes equipped with those lights, including bathrooms. sensor in my office is sensitive enough so that even if i'm only sitting in front of the computer, the light stays on. i like the lights though, cuz i can see if my boss is in her office or not, by looking at her office from a distance since she always leaves her door open.

My apartment kitchen runs the same way. SO ANNOYING. There's two sets of lights in the kitchen, each operated by a separate motion sensor so we would have to alternate which side we wave our arms at so that we can light up the entire kitchen. Gah... seriously there's better ways to save electricity. Our kitchen fridges are poorly insulated so the compressor is always on. But my landlord fails to see the problem.
