Do any of you get really cranky if you haven't eaten?

Yup. Lack of sleep is also not a good thing.

Wow, so I guess he must try to feed you as often as he possibly can.

<---Hopes you've eaten recently. I don't know if my medical insurance covers blunt trauma that I provoked. ;)

To be honest, i do eat a lot. A LOT... i usually snack here and there throughout the day but not with anyting "bad". sometimes i have nuts, sometimes cereal, sometimes toast, sometimes a banana sometimes carrots, sometimes crackers and cheese... you get the point! :D

Not really ... but wife wife on the other hand ... well she blows up at any little thing if she is even remotely hungry. I think she's hypoglycemic.

you are hypoglycemic.

i recognize when the symptoms are approaching and i try extra hard not to be short-tempered even though i feel it.

Definitely but it usually takes an incident (normally driving/traffic related) to trigger it. Then I just get in a bad funk that I can't really shake until I eat. After eating, I'm fine. Breakfast and particularly lunch affect me the most whereas I can hold out longer for dinner without getting too cranky.

Lunch is where mine really crops up. By 12:15P.M. anyone walking into my cube should be aware that their life/health is in imminent danger.

If I'm engaged in an activity, I can go all day without eating and it won't bother me. If I'm just slouching around doing nothing then I'll get very hungry.

I don't always get cranky. I can be super super hungry and be fine. But sometimes if I haven't eaten for a while, hungry or not, I can just be a complete and total on the edge of violent bitch. Get a little food in me and I am a happy camper again.

Usually some eggs or cereal and a bagel.
