Do any of the GE FORCE 2 cards have real good 2D

And what resolution do you run at lsd?

People that keep talking about GTS and frame rates, GNY was asking about 2d quality, not how fast you can overclock your video card.

I guess the conclusion is: Leadtek, Elsa and Visiontek (I think they are the same cards) all have decent to pretty good 2d, and everything else sucks (since no one bragged about how good his other GF2's 2d is).

If your monitor sucks, you won't see the difference...19+ trinitron and you'll notice, especially at higher resolutions and refresh rates.

Funny how my &quot;sucky&quot; monitors have no problems isn't it? Anyway... It seems that the problem is limited to *tron monitors. But hey.. if you can afford a 19&quot; trinitron monitor why not just get a canopus spectra gf2 ultra with BNC cable adapter?..

I'm not running a 'Tron. Hansol 701 'P'rofessional series 17&quot;. Very nice. 5 year warranty, 1600x1200 although I usually stick to 1024x768 @ >100hz refresh. Very sharp.
1280x1024 large fonts looks good too, @ 85hz. I'm very happy with this monitor.... of course, for what I paid for it 2.5 years ago, I could almost get a Hansol 19&quot; now.
But that's how it always works... I'm quite satisfied, really.

Just like I'm also happy with the ELSA Geforce DDR... I don't know why I keep WANTING something else... It's crazy, really. I've been video card hunting for so long I don't know what to do with myself now that I have something that's perfectly fine in every way!
I've even thought of trading this perfectly fine card for a Voodoo5 or Radeon, and almost did. (Only the hassle of trading over the border is stopping me.)

Mind you, if someone wanted to trade me a nice P3 slot1 CPU for it..... nah.

slatt01 ... i have had major problems with my 2d GAinward Cardexpert geforce 2 mx. my monitor is a Viewsonic e773 and i was only able to get decent 2d quality at 60hz at 1124 X 864. i think i have a defective card and am in the process of exchanging the card. i bought this card because pcworld gave it high ratings... but there are hardly any reviews on this card. anybody with similar problems?

Ok, I'm about to get a Radeon 32 DDR as my AGP card for 3d and 2D.

But I also want to get a PCI card to run a second monitor strictly in 2D. Any high quality (but not necessarily current generation) recommendations?
