do any notebook video cards/chipsets support dual monitor output?

I don't want a mirrored display, I'm talking about something like the functionality of a dual-head card....any ideas?

If you're running Windows XP or 95SE, the pretty much ALL support this. I'm typing on the external monitor on my Dell 8600 right now. Next to me is my Thinkpad with another external monitor.

And yes, I'm talking about extending your desktop to a second monitor, not just putting the same image to another display.

well, there are no video cards that can output to two external VGA while also putting to the LCD. in other words, you can't have two monitors hooked up in addition to your LCD. if you meant dual-output like the notebook's LCD and another monitor, then RonS is exactly right. all laptops today should be able to do it.
